The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierre throws the left hand but Barris avoids the punch easily.
Pierre throws a series of punches but Barris avoids them all with ease.

Pierre tries to bum rush Barris with a series of wild strikes but Barris uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Barris's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Pierre connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Barris scrambles back to his feet.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Barris. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Barris dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Barris closes the distance and clinches up with Pierre, looking for a takedown. Barris pushes Pierre against the cage but Pierre circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Pierre throws a looping overhand right but Barris ducks down to avoid it.

Pierre throws an overhand right that lands on Barris's shoulder, as Barris tries to avoid the shot.
Barris displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pierre throws out the jab.

Barris looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Oh Barris is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pierre circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Barris to the canvas! Barris doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Pierre keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

After the fight, Rolland Pierre was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
