Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between SergiO Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rousimar Palhares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ortiz's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Tupac - Broken Wings. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Ortiz lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Palhares gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ortiz counters with a left to the body.
Palhares takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Ortiz moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ortiz wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Palhares takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Ortiz uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Palhares has time to react.

Palhares takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Ortiz turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Ortiz lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Palhares down.

Palhares is trying to escape the position but Ortiz is controlling the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ortiz decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Ortiz takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Ortiz! Palhares is hurt baaadly! Ortiz is firing away with more strikes - Palhares is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
