Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Drown Syndrome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Klaus Bunddam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Drown Syndrome!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Klaus Bunddam!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jonathan Paton and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bunddam throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Syndrome counters with an outside leg kick.
Syndrome is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Bunddam.

Bunddam looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.


Syndrome is rocked!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Syndrome trying to control here.
Syndrome is looking for a sweep. Bunddam is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Syndrome has his hands clasped together around Bunddam's back. He's all about the action.

Bunddam is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bunddam trying to mount his opponent but Syndrome defends it.
Syndrome gets full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Syndrome looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Syndrome pulls Bunddam in close to his closed guard and prevents Bunddam from doing any damage or advancing position.
Bunddam throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Syndrome works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Syndrome bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bunddam's guard.
Syndrome stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bunddam swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bunddam is wriggling around but Syndrome manages to pass to half guard.
Syndrome thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Syndrome is working for a submission of some sort.

Syndrome is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bunddam sees it coming and defends easily.
Bunddam is looking to escape.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Syndrome lands a nice short elbow.
Bunddam is trying to get back to full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Syndrome wants to take a breather but Bunddam is having none of it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bunddam is pressing down on Syndrome's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Syndrome advances position into side control!
Bunddam looks gassed!
Bunddam wants to get back to his feet but Syndrome drags him back down.
Bunddam is not content to let Syndrome control the position.
Syndrome working the ground and pound.
Syndrome in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Syndrome wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bunddam keeps working.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Syndrome tries for a kimura but Bunddam is defending well.
Syndrome scoring with punches from side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Check out the look on Syndrome's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Syndrome misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Syndrome is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bunddam has escaped the position, nice work there.
Bunddam really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Syndrome. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bunddam dodges the ground and pound from Syndrome.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Drown Syndrome dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Bunddam moves out of range of the body kick.

Bunddam drives through with a takedown into guard.
Syndrome has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bunddam won't allow Syndrome to sweep him here.
Bunddam looking to sit in guard and control but Syndrome gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Bunddam is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Syndrome looking to pass the guard.
Syndrome wants to control from the top but Bunddam keeps moving.
Bunddam wants to stand up but Syndrome is controlling him.
Syndrome might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Bunddam pushes Syndrome off and gets back to his feet.

Syndrome gets the takedown into side control.
Bunddam tries to bench press Syndrome off him but Syndrome keeps the position.
Bunddam is breathing heavily.
Syndrome trying to control the action but Bunddam is working from the bottom.

Syndrome has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Bunddam is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Syndrome yanks on the arm and Bunddam is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Syndrome.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Drown Syndrome!
