Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brenen Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Phillips shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Souza manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Phillips missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Phillips drops back looking for a leg! Souza is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Souza manages to kick Phillips off! Phillips jumps back into Souza's guard.
Phillips trying to control the position from guard on top but Souza is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Phillips forces his way into half guard.

Phillips is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Souza defends it well.

Phillips is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Souza reverses the position - he's now on top in Phillips's guard.

Phillips has his feet on Souza's thighs here. He's pushed Souza off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Souza screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
