Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Queensberry Rules (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dil Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Queensberry Rules has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Queensberry Rules!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dil Head!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Head throws the left hand but Rules avoids the punch easily.

Head pushes Rules up against the cage in a clinch.

Rules pulls Head into guard.
Rules keeping moving, preventing Head from controlling successfully.
Rules trying to control the position.
Head wants to pass the guard but Rules is keeping the position.

Head drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Head jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Head being controlled here momentarily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rules is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Rules will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

We're going to have a standup here because Queensberry Rules wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Head moves in looking to clinch but Rules pushes him off.
Rules throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Head throws a series of punches but Rules moves out of range.
Head misses with a series of wild punches.
Head is looking to clinch.
Rules lands with a right hand.


It looks like Dil Head has been cut.
Head throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Head waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Rules.
Rules lands with a shot to the body.
Head shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rules on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Rules will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rules ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Head moves away.
Head tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rules swivels and escapes.
Head closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rules circles away.
Queensberry Rules has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dil Head.
Rules pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Head back to the cage. Rules follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Head shoots for a double leg takedown but Rules sprawls well. He's pushed Head's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Head will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Head gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

A nice right hand lands inside from Rules.
Head tries to circle away but Rules has him pinned against the cage.
Head stalling in the clinch but Rules improves position.

Rules wants the takedown. Head is fighting it off but Rules persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Head's guard against the cage.
Rules trying to stand up but can't free himself from Head's guard.
Rules pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Head is keeping the position for now.
Rules is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Rules is fighting to break Head's control of his arms but Head is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rules is looking to stand up but Head won't let him.
Head manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Head wants to finish this one by submission but Rules is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Head.
The referee warns Rules that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Head won't let Rules get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Head can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rules is looking to escape.
Rules knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Head on the ground.
Head with the ground and pound from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Queensberry Rules will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Dil Head's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Head fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rules connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
No joy there for Head, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Head swinging wildly here.
Rules looks to land a combination but Head avoids it well.
Head fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Head moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Dil Head seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rules tries to clinch but Head moves out of range.
No luck for Head with that takedown attempt.
Rules works Head's body with a nice hook.
Queensberry Rules is winning the standup battle so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Head wants to clinch up but Rules keeps it at a distance.
Head lands a lovely overhand right.
Head misses with a jab, cross combination.
Head lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rules circles away quickly and effectively.
Head misses with a jab, cross combination.
Head tries to bum rush Rules with a series of wild strikes but Rules uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Rules gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Rules breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Head fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rules sprawls well initially but Head persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Head missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Head is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Rules trying to hold on to Head's head to control him but Head postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Head wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rules keeps working.
Rules tries to get to full guard but Head has control of the leg.

Head maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Rules could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Head has cracked it and Rules is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Head!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Dil Head!
Our winner, Dil Head, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
