Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Drapes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denis Frolov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drapes defending well as Frolov loads up on a big left hand.
Nice body punch from Frolov.
Drapes moves away from the strike by Frolov.
Frolov bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Drapes's head.
Frolov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Drapes stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Drapes scores with a takedown into Frolov's guard.
Drapes wants to pass the guard but Frolov is keeping the position.
Drapes stands and throws Frolov's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Drapes working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Drapes wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Frolov, who protects the arm well.

Drapes tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Drapes has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Frolov wants to get back to his feet.

Drapes has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Frolov is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Drapes yanks on the arm and Frolov is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Drapes.
