Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Orlando Styles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stanton Friedmon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Styles might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Enter Sandman by Metallica. Friedmon comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Come Get on the Ho Train kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Orlando Styles could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Stanton Friedmon's chin.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Styles misses with a low kick as Friedmon jumps back.
Styles throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Styles stuns Friedmon with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Styles ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Stanton Friedmon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Friedmon tries to move into range but Styles moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Good exchange - Styles coming out on top.
Friedmon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Styles changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

and Styles counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Styles cracks Friedmon with a right hand to the side of the head.
Styles cracks a nice hook into Friedmon's ribs.

Styles avoids a punch combination nicely.
A solid leg kick lands there for Styles.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Friedmon shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Styles sprawls well. Styles wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Friedmon gets slowly back to his feet.
Friedmon takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Styles explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Styles lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Styles stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Styles goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Friedmon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Styles but Styles pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Orlando Styles has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stanton Friedmon.
Friedmon takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Friedmon throws out a loose jab but Styles uses good head movement to avoid it.

Styles is looking to slow Friedmon down with leg kicks.
Friedmon takes a swing at Styles's ribcage but misses.
Styles is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Friedmon takes a shot to the body in his stride.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Friedmon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Styles is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Friedmon defends well.

Styles working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Friedmon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Friedmon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
