Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Conor Murphy!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Steven Brown and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Andersson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Murphy manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Andersson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Murphy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Andersson throws a big elbow that misses.

Andersson wants to control from the top but Murphy keeps moving.

Andersson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Murphy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Andersson has managed to get both his arms back between Murphy's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Andersson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Murphy swivels though and keeps the full guard.

It looks like Conor Murphy has been cut.

Andersson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Murphy sprawls well initially but Andersson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Andersson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Murphy with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Murphy is looking for a sweep. Andersson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Andersson is nestled in close to Murphy, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Andersson lands a nice short elbow.

Andersson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Murphy up against the cage.

Murphy wants to take the fight to the mat but Andersson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Filip Andersson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Conor Murphy.

Murphy might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Andersson kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Murphy is looking to take a break and control but Andersson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Conor Murphy hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Filip Andersson.
Well Andersson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
