PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Bearinstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ceaser El Toro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). El Toro has chosen Bulls On Parade as his entrance music. Paul Bearinstein had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 187.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paul Bearinstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ceaser El Toro!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Steve Montenegro and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
El Toro wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Bearinstein throws a solid leg kick but El Toro takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Bearinstein.
El Toro avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bearinstein showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from El Toro.
El Toro is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bearinstein.
El Toro scores with a sloppy right hand. Bearinstein should have avoided that one.
El Toro moves out of range of the strikes.
El Toro ducks under a wild hook from Bearinstein.
El Toro misses with an uppercut. Bearinstein saw that one coming.
Bearinstein slips under a jab from El Toro.
El Toro throws a combination. Bearinstein tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
El Toro misses with a looping right.
El Toro waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bearinstein.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A telegraphed right hand from Bearinstein misses the target.
Bearinstein connects with a body shot that sends El Toro's belly button to the back.

That's one minute gone in the round.
El Toro lands a head kick. Bearinstein smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Bearinstein pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Bearinstein takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Bearinstein lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
El Toro's jab looks to have found its range, popping Bearinstein under the eye.

Bearinstein is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
El Toro lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bearinstein circles away quickly and effectively.

El Toro lands a big uppercut and Bearinstein crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Bearinstein looks OK. El Toro waves Bearinstein back to his feet!

Bearinstein has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from El Toro.
Bearinstein takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
El Toro throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bearinstein stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
El Toro jabs at Bearinstein's body.
The crowd cheers as El Toro lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bearinstein doesn't seem phased though.

Oh Bearinstein is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
El Toro cracks Bearinstein with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Bearinstein tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but El Toro pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Bearinstein is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ceaser El Toro!
