Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tom Kazarian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gimpy McWimpy!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McWimpy moves to clinch but Kazarian breaks away

and Kazarian counters with a nice double leg into side control. McWimpy won't be happy with that.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
McWimpy gets back to half guard.
McWimpy moves into full guard.
McWimpy is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

McWimpy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kazarian is aware though and is defending well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McWimpy has momentary wrist control but Kazarian slips an elbow through the middle.
Kazarian wants to pass the guard but McWimpy is keeping the position.
McWimpy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kazarian is one step ahead there.
Kazarian landing with the ground and pound.
Kazarian lands a couple of digs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McWimpy is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kazarian knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McWimpy on the ground.

McWimpy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kazarian with a nice head shot there.
McWimpy tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kazarian scoring with punches to the head and body.
Kazarian makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Kazarian has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kazarian gets to his feet and stands over McWimpy, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! McWimpy felt that one! Kazarian unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save McWimpy from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tom Kazarian!
During a confident post fight interview, Tom Kazarian thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
