Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brian Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Roussimoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Henderson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rice Out. Andre Roussimoff is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Henderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andre Roussimoff!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roussimoff blocks a head kick by Henderson.
Roussimoff throws a leg kick that is checked
and Henderson counters with a left to the body.
Henderson thows a body kick. Roussimoff tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Roussimoff throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Henderson has closed the distance and engaged Roussimoff in a clinch.
Roussimoff is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Henderson to keep the fight standing.
Roussimoff jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Henderson walks away with a smile on his face. Roussimoff gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Roussimoff defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Henderson.
Roussimoff tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Henderson swivels and escapes.
Brian Henderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Roussimoff.
Roussimoff tries to close the distance and clinch up but Henderson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Henderson leaves Roussimoff with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Roussimoff shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Henderson defends it nicely.

Henderson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Roussimoff did well to prevent Henderson getting side control.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Henderson wants to take a breather but Roussimoff is having none of it.
Henderson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Henderson prevents Roussimoff from improving his position.

Brian Henderson has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
The fighters circling - Roussimoff throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Henderson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Roussimoff tries to keep at a distance but Henderson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Roussimoff tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Henderson lands a knee to the body.
Henderson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Roussimoffs head.
Henderson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Roussimoff is defending well.

Roussimoff drags the fight down to the ground.
Roussimoff lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Henderson!
Roussimoff looking to control and managing it successfully.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Henderson tries to hold on but Roussimoff pushes him away.
Henderson gets back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Roussimoff with the ground and pound but Henderson uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Henderson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Roussimoff stands and steps away. Henderson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Roussimoff.
Roussimoff is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Henderson is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Henderson stops Roussimoff from passing to mount.
Henderson can't do much from the bottom here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Roussimoff scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Henderson to see if he's OK.

Henderson tries to get back to half guard but can't.
You can see the frustration on Henderson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Henderson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Roussimoff wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Henderson is not content to let Roussimoff control the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Roussimoff tries to move to mount but Henderson blocks the move with his legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Brian Henderson will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Roussimoff wants to clinch.
Henderson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Both fighters circling a little - Henderson finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Henderson drives through and clinches with Roussimoff against the cage.

Roussimoff pulls guard.
Henderson is looking to stand up but Roussimoff won't let him.

Roussimoff wriggles free and stands up.
Henderson blocks a head kick by Roussimoff.
Roussimoff throws a poor cross that misses
and Henderson counters with a left and a right that stings Roussimoff.
Nice sprawl there from Roussimoff as Henderson shoots in.

Roussimoff fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Roussimoff throws a series of punches but Henderson moves out of range.
Henderson is looking to clinch.

Henderson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Roussimoff to the mat! Roussimoff manages to get full guard.

Roussimoff controls Henderson momentarily but Henderson frees himself.

Andre Roussimoff has got the better of the ground game so far.
Roussimoff manages to get to full guard.
Roussimoff wants to hit a switch here but Henderson passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Roussimoff there!

Roussimoff squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Henderson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Roussimoff is looking to escape.
Roussimoff is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Roussimoff is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Henderson jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Roussimoff is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Roussimoff and Henderson has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Henderson is looking to take a break and control but Roussimoff is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That was a close second round but I would say that Brian Henderson will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Henderson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Roussimoff looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Roussimoff fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Roussimoff defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Henderson.
Roussimoff moves in looking to clinch but Henderson pushes him off.

Henderson pushes Roussimoff up against the cage in a clinch.
Roussimoff can't find room to land a body shot as Henderson controls the action.
Henderson drops down looking for an ankle pick but Roussimoff pulls his leg out and moves away.
Roussimoff closes this distance looking for a takedown but Henderson circles away.
Henderson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Roussimoff eats them both and turns towards Henderson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Henderson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Roussimoff back to the cage. Henderson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


Roussimoff is rocked!

Roussimoff shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Henderson but Henderson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Roussimoff is still on wobbly legs! Can Henderson finish him?
Brian Henderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Roussimoff.
Henderson looks for a takedown but Roussimoff sprawls well.
Henderson circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Roussimoff drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Henderson follows Roussimoff to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brian Henderson!
Post fight, Brian Henderson stared into the camera and said 'I'm finna bring the rice out!'.
