Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dallas Riley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Gama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rafael Gama will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dallas Riley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Gama!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Riley closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gama quickly recovers to half guard.
Gama tries to kick Riley off in order to stand up. Riley Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Riley trying to control the position but Gama is working away.

Riley thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Gama is trying to improve his position.
Riley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Riley stands up and we're back to a striking position.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gama looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gama lands with a nice body punch.

Riley keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Riley closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gama circles away.
Riley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gama sprawls well. Gama wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Riley gets slowly back to his feet.
Riley fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gama avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dallas Riley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Riley is looking to score with low kicks.

Gama closes the distance and clinches.
Riley can't get the takedown.
Riley tries to break free but Gama pushes him back against the cage.

Riley has hold of one of Gama's legs. Gama is fighting the takedown attempt but Riley gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gama can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Riley controls the pace.

Gama working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Riley doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Riley manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Riley is trying to control. Gama wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Gama looks like he's trying to stand up.

Riley seems to be working for a kimura but Gama defends the submission attempt.

Gama is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Riley pulls his head out easily.

Riley wants to work for an arm triangle but Gama is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Riley stops Gama from getting back to his feet.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Riley is thwarting Gama's attempts to control the position.
Gama is staying active underneath Riley, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dallas Riley.
Riley doesn't manage to clinch there - Gama circles away.

Riley throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gama throws a leg kick which misses Riley's front leg but catches the back leg as Riley tries to avoid it.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gama is defended easily by Riley.

Riley closes the distance and clinches.
Gama tries to land knees in the clinch but Riley avoids the damage to the body.
Riley fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Riley pulls guard effortlessly.
Riley is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Gama is trying to control but can't.
Gama makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gama.

Riley is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Riley's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Riley with a flurry of punches that miss.
Gama really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Riley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gama is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Riley is aware though and is defending well.
Dallas Riley overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Riley slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Riley trying to control the position from guard on top but Gama is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

We're going to have a standup here because Dallas Riley wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Gama shoots for a double leg takedown but Riley sprawls well. He's pushed Gama's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Gama counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Gama must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Gama is breathing heavily.
Riley not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Riley has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Gama off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Riley doesn't manage to clinch there - Gama circles away.

and Riley counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Riley trying to mount his opponent but Gama defends it.
Riley is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Riley tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Riley wants to finish this one by submission but Gama is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Riley.

Riley lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Gama keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Riley takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Riley postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Gama looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Riley looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dallas Riley dominated that second round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Gama doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Riley counters with a nice body shot.
Gama tries to score a power double leg takedown but Riley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gama somewhat.
Riley fails in his attempt to clinch.
Gama circles away from the clinch attempt.
Riley closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gama circles away.
Riley tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gama swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Riley slips a jab and a cross from Gama.
Gama takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Gama moves away from the strike by Riley.
Gama shoots for a double leg takedown but Riley sprawls well. He's pushed Gama's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dallas Riley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rafael Gama.
Gama stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gama wants it to stay on the feet.
Gama is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Riley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gama gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Riley is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Riley is really struggling to control Gama but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Riley is looking for a triangle but Gama pushes his legs off easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gama would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Riley manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Gama looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Riley is fending him off so far but Gama persists. Nope, Riley circles away and we're back to standing.

Riley fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gama, pushing him back against the cage.
Gama can't break the clinch.
Riley tries for a takedown but Gama manages to get underhooks.
Riley tries to pull guard but Gama holds him up against the cage and eventually Riley drops back down to his feet.

Riley manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Riley is trying to control the position but Gama postures up.

Gama tries to free his leg and advance position but Riley is retaining full guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
