And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stevens feints and as Shifter raises his hands in defense, Stevens changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Shifter looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Stevens looking to pass the guard.
Shifter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stevens on the ground.

Stevens avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Shifter looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Stevens passes into half guard.
Shifter tries to roll over but Stevens keeps him under control.

Shifter has a hand on Stevens's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Stevens takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Stevens manages to capitalize on a mistake by Shifter to take his back!
Stevens is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Shifter up.

Shifter escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stevens gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Shifter has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stevens can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Stevens is posturing up here but Shifter has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Stevens tries to roll out but it's too tight and Stevens has to tap! Slick submission there by Shifter!
