Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Melvin Doomer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Bruno Lombardi and Eddie Farnsworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Doomer gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Doomer decides to pull guard.
Kid throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Doomer works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Kid throwing strikes but missing.
Doomer wants to stand and escape but Kid is having none of it.
Kid being controlled here momentarily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Doomer is on top in guard.
Kid knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Doomer on the ground.
Kid is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kid really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Doomer wants to pass the guard but Kid is keeping the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kid controls Doomer momentarily but Doomer frees himself.
Doomer preventing the sweep.
Doomer works over Kid with some ground and pound from guard.
Doomer working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kid's head.

Doomer stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Doomer looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Kid is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Doomer scores with a couple of nice shots.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kid wants to stand back up but Doomer manages to pass into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Doomer passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Kid!

Doomer breaks from Kid's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Kid seems to have got his legs back now.
Kid is breathing heavily.

Doomer is looking to work his way around to Kid's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

Doomer unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Kid wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Doomer celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
