The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Silva shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Screwdriver sprawls well. Screwdriver wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Da Silva gets slowly back to his feet.
Screwdriver tries to close the distance and clinch but Da Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Screwdriver forces Da Silva back against the cage and clinches.
Screwdriver can't get the takedown.
Da Silva tries to pull guard but Screwdriver forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Da Silva wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Screwdriver misses with a hook to the ribs.
Screwdriver really is a fat lump.
Da Silva has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Screwdriver after a bit of a struggle.
Matt Screwdriver has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Da Silva.
Da Silva blocks an elbow strike.

It looks like Jose Da Silva has been cut.
Da Silva is looking to break free of the clinch but Screwdriver has double underhooks.

Da Silva is trying to drag Screwdriver to the mat but Screwdriver just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Screwdriver misses with a hook to the ribs.
Screwdriver is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Da Silva is defending well for now.
Da Silva is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Da Silva is trying to force a seperation but Screwdriver has the dominant position.
Da Silva is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Da Silva jumps guard but Screwdriver stands there with Da Silva around his waist. Da Silva gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Screwdriver throws a head punch that misses.
Screwdriver misses with an elbow over the top.

Screwdriver escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Screwdriver shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Da Silva manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Da Silva is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Screwdriver postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Da Silva covers up, he's hurt! Screwdriver keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Screwdriver and the ref steps in to end the fight! Screwdriver can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
