Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raul Decampo!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Matheus Silva and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
J Champ stuffs the takedown.

Decampo shoots in for a takedown but J Champ shows good takedown defense.
J Champ slaps away a takedown attempt from Decampo, before circling back to the center of the mat.
J Champ throws a low kick, looking for Decampo's leg but Decampo calmly moves out of range.

J Champ wants to slow Decampo down by chopping away at his legs.
J Champ pivots, looking for a leg kick but Decampo is out of range and J Champ settles back down.
Horrible takedown by Decampo or perhaps it was just good defense by J Champ which made him look bad.
J Champ fakes the leg kick and cracks Decampo in the body.

J Champ instigates a clinch.
J Champ swings wildly with an uppercut but Decampo uses good head movement to avoid it.
J Champ throws an elbow that misses.

Decampo wants to take the fight to the mat but J Champ manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
J Champ lands with a light punch inside.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for J Champ.
J Champ is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Decampo is defending well for now.
J Champ is defending well against a takedown attempt.
J Champ misses with a hook to the ribs.

J Champ breaks from the clinch.

Decampo feints and as J Champ raises his hands in defense, Decampo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Decampo is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! J Champ is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! J Champ has escaped and now he's on top!

J Champ avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

J Champ has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Decampo is proving hard to escape from.

J Champ stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Decampo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
J Champ is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
J Champ is looking for a sweep. Decampo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Decampo is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, J Champ has managed to free his arm - good work.
J Champ is looking to control Decampo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can J Champ avoid being mounted?

Decampo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Decampo is trying to work for a kimura but J Champ is defending well.

Decampo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
J Champ is trying to get back to full guard.

Decampo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
J Champ moves into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tsubasa J Champ dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Decampo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
J Champ wants to hold on but Decampo pushes him away.

Decampo has hold of J Champ's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and J Champ manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
J Champ gets back to half guard.
J Champ keeping control of the position.

Decampo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
J Champ tries to roll over but Decampo keeps him under control.

Decampo is looking for a kimura here.

Decampo seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. J Champ is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Raul Decampo!

After the fight, Raul Decampo was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
