The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fishery shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gordon but Gordon pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Gordon shoots for a double leg takedown but Fishery sprawls well. He's pushed Gordon's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Fishery clinches up with Gordon and pushes him back against the cage.
A short body shot lands from Fishery as the two fighters clinch.

Fishery has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Gordon avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Gordon.

Gordon gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Fishery is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Gordon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Fishery is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gordon, into his guard.

Fishery stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gordon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gordon is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Fishery frees his head nicely. Oh but Gordon has switched to an armbar! Fishery is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
