Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elite tries to clinch
and Da Silva counters with a nice double leg into side control. Elite won't be happy with that.
A lull in the action here.
You can see the frustration on Elite's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Elite tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Da Silva wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Da Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Elite keeps working.
Elite can't do much from the bottom here.
Elite throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Elite is looking for a sweep.

Jose Da Silva has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Da Silva looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Da Silva decides to stand up, so the ref orders Elite to his feet.
Da Silva dives in and grabs Elite's left leg, looking for a takedown. Elite pushes down on Da Silva's head and hops out.
Da Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Elite circles away quickly and effectively.
Elite changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Da Silva tries to avoid it but Elite manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Da Silva to the ground. Da Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Elite gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Da Silva counters with a takedown into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

That's time! Da Silva's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Elite shoots in but no luck this time.
Elite misses with a low kick as Da Silva jumps back.
Jose Da Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Elite closes this distance looking for a takedown but Da Silva circles away.
Da Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Elite circles away quickly and effectively.
Elite throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Da Silva's waist but Da Silva gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Elite off to one side.
Jose Da Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bernardo Elite.
Da Silva closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Elite to the mat! Elite manages to get full guard.

Elite misses with a hook.
Da Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Elite throws a right and a left that Da Silva avoids nicely.
A looping hook to the body misses from Da Silva. Elite does a little dance to reset his feet.

Da Silva pushes a forearm under Elite's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Elite is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
