The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fabian misses with a takedown attempt - Vonny sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fabian .
Horrible takedown by Fabian or perhaps it was just good defense by Vonny which made him look bad.
Chad Vonny has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hildebert Fabian .
Fabian takes a jab right on the kisser.
Vonny ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Fabian shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vonny as he avoids it easily.

Fabian closes this distance looking for a takedown but Vonny circles away.

Vonny gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Fabian has Vonny pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Vonny manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Vonny pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Fabian needs to keep his hands up - Vonny had a free shot at his head there.
Vonny looks to throw the jab but Fabian is out of range.

Fabian closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Vonny did well to prevent Fabian getting side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Vonny drives through and clinches with Fabian against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fabian has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Vonny after a bit of a struggle.
Vonny lands a hook that snaps the head of Fabian backwards.
Vonny tries to circle away but Fabian has him pinned against the cage.
Fabian is trying to pull guard but Vonny turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Fabian is looking to take this one to the mat.

Vonny's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Vonny gets tackled into the cage by Fabian . Fabian maintains the clinch.

Donk. Vonny catches Fabian right on the button with a cross.
Fabian throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vonny's waist but Vonny gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fabian off to one side.
Fabian fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Vonny avoids it really well and circles away.
Hildebert Fabian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Horrible takedown by Fabian or perhaps it was just good defense by Vonny which made him look bad.

Vonny circles away from the clinch attempt
and Vonny counters with a left to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Vonny lands a big right hand that sends Fabian crashing to the mat! Vonny stays standing though and waves Fabian back to his feet!

Fabian shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vonny as he avoids it easily.
Vonny digs a good hook to Fabian 's body.
Vonny fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Fabian looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Vonny sends Fabian crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Vonny is motioning to the referee to let Fabian up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Fabian is still on wobbly legs! Can Vonny finish him?

Vonny clinches.
Vonny lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Fabian seems to have recovered his senses.

Fabian takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Fabian walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Vonny! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!
