Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Changa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bernard Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shamrock has chosen Sepultura - Roots Bloody Roots as his entrance music. The key to victory for Jimmy Changa has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jimmy Changa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bernard Shamrock!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Changa misses with a combination
letting Shamrock counter with a right hand.
Changa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Changa throws a right and a left that both miss.
Changa misses with a series of wild punches.
Shamrock avoids a punch combination nicely.
Shamrock cracks the inside of Changa's front leg.
Shamrock blocks a head kick by Changa.
Changa is breathing heavily.
Shamrock throws a nice inside leg kick.
Changa swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Shamrock closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Shamrock lands in his opponent's guard.
Shamrock scoring with some ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Shamrock postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Shamrock trying to control but Changa is working from the bottom.
Shamrock scoring with punches to the head and body.
Shamrock stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Changa swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Shamrock postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Shamrock keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Changa's head.
Changa preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Shamrock is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Shamrock throws a big elbow that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Changa is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Changa on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Changa tries to get out of the position.
Shamrock lands a couple of digs.
Shamrock postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Shamrock is working Changa over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Changa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shamrock on the ground.
Shamrock works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Shamrock has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Shamrock seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Shamrock throwing shots but Changa is blocking nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shamrock works his way into full mount!
Shamrock lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Changa hang on?


Changa is rocked!
Shamrock raining down shots from the mount!
Oh Changa is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Oooh a big shot lands for Shamrock! Changa is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Bernard Shamrock!
Bernard Shamrock really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that STEEL PENN'S 160 OF STEEL $50 logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
