Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ike Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akisame Hikaru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hikaru has chosen Ultimate Battle as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ike Turner!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akisame Hikaru!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner throws a body kick despite being completely out of range

and Hikaru counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Hikaru sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Hikaru looking to pass the guard.
Turner is looking to stand up but Hikaru isn't so interested in that idea.
Turner avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Hikaru looking to pass the guard.
Hikaru throws a big right hand that misses.
Turner wants to stand up but Hikaru is controlling him.
Hikaru sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Turner's guard.
Hikaru throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Hikaru wants to lay and pray for a moment but Turner keeps working.

Hikaru wants to pass to mount but Turner is defending the position.
Hikaru lands with a punch from half guard.
Hikaru tries to pass the half guard into mount. Turner knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Hikaru thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Hikaru is looking to take a break and control but Turner is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hikaru wants to work for an arm triangle but Turner is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Hikaru is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Turner doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hikaru.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hikaru not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Hikaru throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Turner to regain full guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Turner misses with a looping right.
Turner misses with an uppercut.
Turner displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hikaru.
Turner tries to clinch but Hikaru moves out of range.
Ike Turner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hikaru avoids the head kick by Turner.
Turner throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Turner doesn't manage to clinch there - Hikaru circles away.
Hikaru tries to clinch there but Turner circles away.
Turner pivots, looking for a leg kick but Hikaru is out of range and Turner settles back down.
Turner attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Turner throws the kick towards the body but Hikaru avoids it.

Hikaru throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Turner misses with a body kick.
Turner throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Hikaru jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Hikaru shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hikaru was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Hikaru throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Turner tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Hikaru trying to control but Turner is having none of it.
Hikaru lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hikaru avoids the attempt from Turner to control.

Hikaru is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Turner has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Turner!

Hikaru throws his legs up looking for a submission but Turner uses it to pass to side control.
Hikaru tries to strike but it doesn't land.

Hikaru is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Hikaru manages to get back to half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hikaru wants to improve his position but Turner is controlling well.
Hikaru trying to control but Turner postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Akisame Hikaru showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Turner's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Turner throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Hikaru counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hikaru takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Turner tries to clinch up but Hikaru circles away and keeps his distance.
Hikaru takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Turner motions for Hikaru to come forward. Turner throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Hikaru shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Turner connects with a leg kick. Hikaru looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Turner keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hikaru walks forward, straight into a front kick from Turner.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Turner tries to clinch but Hikaru moves out of range.

Hikaru instigates a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Turner is pressed up against the cage. Hikaru has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Turner down to the mat. Turner avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Hikaru takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Turner lands a leg kick that knocks Hikaru off balance momentarily.
Hikaru takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Hikaru shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Turner but Turner pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ike Turner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Akisame Hikaru.
Turner pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hikaru misses with a body shot.
Turner goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Turner tries to clinch up but Hikaru circles away and keeps his distance.
Turner is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A head kick misses from Turner.
Ike Turner is winning the standup battle so far.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Turner, right into the meat.
Turner tries to close the distance and clinch but Hikaru swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Turner scores with a head kick. Hikaru tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hikaru motions for Turner to come forward. Hikaru throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Turner lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hikaru blocks a leg kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hikaru is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Turner lands a good knee to the midsection. Hikaru won't want to take too many of those.
Hikaru swings wildly with an uppercut but Turner uses good head movement to avoid it.
Turner misses with an elbow over the top.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Turner is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hikaru is defending well for now.

Hikaru is looking to control Turner's arms but Turner gets an underhook and turns him. Now Hikaru has his back to the cage.

Turner misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Hikaru.
Hikaru fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Hikaru drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Turner gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Turner content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Hikaru takes an elbow to the forehead.
Hikaru misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Turner.
Turner lands an elbow inside.
Turner misses with a punch on the inside.
Hikaru tries to pull guard but Turner forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Turner breaks from the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Turner throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Turner. Hikaru shrugs it off though.
Turner misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hikaru.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ike Turner clearly takes that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

A solid leg kick lands there for Turner.
Turner looks to land a body kick but Hikaru moved away.
Hikaru chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Turner can pounce on him.
Turner throws a sloppy head kick and Hikaru moves out of range easily.

Hikaru closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Turner's guard.
Turner wants to stand but Hikaru is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hikaru controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hikaru stands and throws Turner's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Turner wants to control but Hikaru postures up.
Hikaru trying to control the action but Turner is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hikaru might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Turner kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Turner is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Turner is not content to let Hikaru control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hikaru working the ground and pound but Turner is defending the strikes.
Hikaru wants to control but Turner is keeping him busy.

An elbow from Hikaru crashes against the mat.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hikaru fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Hikaru is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Turner has escaped the position, nice work there.
Hikaru throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Hikaru advances to mount.
Hikaru has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Turner blocking the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Akisame Hikaru dominated that fourth round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Turner moves in looking to clinch but Hikaru pushes him off.
Turner bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Hikaru misses the target.
Turner scores with the left hand. Hikaru knows he should have avoided that one.
Turner throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hikaru sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Turner looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Turner tries to clinch but Hikaru is having none of it.
Turner throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Turner pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Hikaru fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Turner manages to avoid it.
Turner is looking to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Hikaru decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Hikaru trying to control from half guard but Turner is working away.
Hikaru looks to land a strike but Turner avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Hikaru throwing strikes but missing.
Hikaru forces his way into half guard.
Hikaru moves into full mount! Turner won't be happy about that!

Hikaru looking for a guillotine from mount but Turner is having none of it.
Hikaru lands a big shot there that rocks Turner but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hikaru throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Hikaru tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Hikaru can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Turner is looking to escape.
Akisame Hikaru is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Hikaru with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Ike Turner has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Hikaru wants to control the pace but Turner is squirming around nicely.

I would just about give that final round to Akisame Hikaru.
I think Hikaru has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
