The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Girl on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Singh lands the left hand.

Girl takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Singh feints a jab promting Girl to slip. Singh then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Girl slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Girl dives in and grabs Singh's left leg, looking for a takedown. Singh pushes down on Girl's head and hops out.

Girl looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Singh is fending him off so far but Girl persists. Nope, Singh circles away and we're back to standing.

Singh shoots in but Girl avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Singh closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Singh cracks Girl with a big right hand but Girl just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Singh fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Girl, pushing him back against the cage.

Barby Girl's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Singh goes for a takedown attempt but Girl pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Singh tries to score a power double leg takedown but Girl sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Singh somewhat.

Singh throws a nice looking combination but Girl bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Singh shoots in for a double leg but Girl sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arshad Singh. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Girl stuffs the takedown attempt from Singh. Singh gets slowly back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Singh leaves Girl with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Arshad Singh opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
