The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kent with a hook.
Funkyama dives in and grabs Kent's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kent pushes down on Funkyama's head and hops out.

Kent lands with an uppercut that bounces Funkyama off the cage and back into range.

Funkyama with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kent to score with a decent uppercut.

Funkyama shoots in and drives through. Kent sprawls well.
Peter Kent has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Funkyama.
Kent looks to land a combination but Funkyama avoids it well.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Funkyama.
The crowd cheers as Kent lands an impressive looking overhand right. Funkyama doesn't seem phased though.
Kent swings for the body but Funkyama moves out of range.
Funkyama shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kent but Kent pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Funkyama takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Kent comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Funkyama stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Kent is on him like rabid pit bull! Funkyama slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!
