Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kartik Yay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Gutierrez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yay cracks Gutierrez with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Gutierrez shoots in looking for a takedown. Yay tries to sprawl out of it but Gutierrez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Yay manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gutierrez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Yay.
A head kick misses from Yay.
Yay misses the body punch
and Gutierrez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Yay misses with a kick to the body.
Yay throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Yay throws a looping overhand right but Gutierrez ducks down to avoid it.
Yay throws a leg kick but Gutierrez checks it.

Kartik Yay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Julio Gutierrez.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Gutierrez enables Yay to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gutierrez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

enabling Yay to counter with a crisp jab.
Yay misses with a hook
and Gutierrez counters with a series of strikes. Yay will be more careful next time no doubt.
Yay throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gutierrez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Gutierrez throws an overhand right that lands on Yay's shoulder, as Yay tries to avoid the shot.

Yay rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gutierrez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kartik Yay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Yay tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gutierrez uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Yay.
Yay attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Yay misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
No luck for Gutierrez with that takedown attempt.
A combination from Yay does no damage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Gutierrez cracks Yay with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Kartik Yay is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Horrible takedown by Gutierrez or perhaps it was just good defense by Yay which made him look bad.
Yay lands a two punch combo.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Yay throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gutierrez sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Yay throws a hook to the side of Gutierrez's head but Gutierrez sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Julio Gutierrez will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Gutierrez wants to take a breather but Yay is having none of it.
Yay is looking for a sweep. Gutierrez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
