The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Obina shoots in but Gomez avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gomez buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Obina looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gomez is fending him off so far but Obina persists. Nope, Gomez circles away and we're back to standing.
Gomez misses with a jab, cross combination.
Obina on the wrong end of a nice jab.

It looks like Willians Obina has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gomez throws a head kick that misses.
Gomez throws a looping overhand right but Obina ducks down to avoid it.
Palito Gomez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gomez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gomez motions for Obina to come forward. Gomez throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Obina shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gomez defends it nicely.
Palito Gomez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Willians Obina.
Gomez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Obina manages to avoid it.
Gomez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Obina shoots in for a takedown but Gomez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Gomez throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Obina crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
