Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roley Cheese (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stewie Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stewie Griffin is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roley Cheese!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Stewie Griffin!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin lands a jab to the nose.


It looks like Roley Cheese has been cut.

Griffin misses with a hook.
Cheese misses with a takedown attempt
letting Griffin counter with a right hand.
Cheese uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Griffin.
Griffin connects with a good right hand that stumbles Cheese. Cheese circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Cheese slips a straight right by Griffin.
Griffin connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Griffin scores with a nice head shot.
Griffin throws the left hand but Cheese avoids the punch easily.
Griffin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cheese shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Griffin scores with a jab.
Griffin throws a lazy right hand but Cheese sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Griffin misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cheese ducks under a wild hook from Griffin.
Griffin lands with a cross.
Griffin rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Cheese counters with a shoot takedown. Griffin fights it but they end up in guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Cheese is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Griffin is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Griffin has escaped and now he's on top!
Cheese might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Griffin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cheese. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cheese is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Cheese has a closed guard, preventing Griffin from standing up.
Cheese is trying to control the position but Griffin postures up.
Griffin wants to stand and escape but instead Cheese has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Griffin is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Cheese drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Griffin dives on top into guard.
Griffin tries to stand but Cheese is controlling from the bottom.
Griffin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Cheese working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Griffin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Griffin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Cheese working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Griffin has passed into half guard!
Griffin wants to stand up but Cheese has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Cheese has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Griffin is working away from the top position though.

Cheese walks into a jab.
The fighters circling - Griffin throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Stewie Griffin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Griffin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Griffin is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Cheese had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Cheese keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Griffin.
Griffin lands a body shot.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Griffin jabs Cheese to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Cheese doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Griffin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stewie Griffin dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Roley Cheese's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Cheese doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Cheese walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Griffin lands a body shot.
Cheese shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Griffin but Griffin pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Griffin throws out a loose jab but Cheese uses good head movement to avoid it.
Cheese shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Cheese tries for a takedown but Griffin circles away easily
and Griffin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Griffin looks to score with a jab to the body but Cheese is just out of range.

Griffin thows a body shot but no joy.
Griffin throws a body punch but Cheese moves out of range.
Stewie Griffin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cheese blocks a jab.
Griffin misses with a wild combination.
A swing and a miss from Griffin.
No luck for Cheese with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roley Cheese. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Griffin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Cheese uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Griffin.
Cheese on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Griffin dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Griffin throws a jab when Cheese was well out of range.
Griffin swings for the body but Cheese moves out of range.

and Cheese counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Cheese slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Cheese pushes a forearm under Griffin's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Griffin is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
