Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Laion shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Laion wants to pass the guard but Souza is keeping the position.
Laion preventing the sweep.

Souza tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Laion swivels and escapes.

Souza has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Souza misses with a double jab.
Souza tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Laion manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Laion drives through with a takedown into Souza's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jony Laion.

Laion fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Souza to the ground. Laion is now in Souza's guard.

Souza is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Laion is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Laion is looking for a kimura but Souza is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Laion to get the leverage.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jony Laion just wasn't active enough.

Laion drives through with a takedown into guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Souza is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Laion is aware though and is defending well.

Laion stands up and waves to Souza to follow him.

Souza shoots in but Laion avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Laion gets a double leg takedown into Souza's guard.

Souza is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Laion has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Souza!

Souza is breathing heavily.

Laion changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Souza looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Souza takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
