Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Colt Plum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mahatma Gandhi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Colt Plum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mahatma Gandhi !
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Lou da Vinci and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gandhi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Plum sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gandhi somewhat.
Plum throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Danga de danga de dang - Plum scores with a four punch combination!
Plum throws a sloppy head kick and Gandhi moves out of range easily.
Gandhi shoots for a takedown but Plum saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Gandhi manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Plum on his heels. He'll look to pass Plum's guard now, I'm sure.
Plum is trying to control the position but Gandhi postures up.
Gandhi throwing strikes from guard but Plum blocks nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gandhi wants to control from the top but Plum keeps moving.
Plum striking off his back but it's not causing Gandhi any problems.

Plum has his feet on Gandhi 's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Plum looks to throw the jab but Gandhi is out of range.
Mahatma Gandhi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gandhi drives through with a takedown into guard.
Gandhi wants to pass the guard but Plum is keeping the position.
Plum is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gandhi is controlling him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gandhi is pushing down on Plum's leg trying to pass to half guard. Plum is fighting to maintain full guard but Gandhi has managed to sneak the leg through.
Plum is looking for a sweep. Gandhi is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Gandhi throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Plum pushes Gandhi off looking to stand but Gandhi dives back in and keeps control.
Gandhi wants to control but Plum is keeping him busy.
Gandhi looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gandhi is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Plum has one foot on Gandhi 's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Plum throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gandhi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Plum throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Gandhi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Plum as he avoids it easily.
Colt Plum has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mahatma Gandhi .
Plum looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Plum goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Plum misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Plum defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gandhi .

Gandhi shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gandhi showed some decent athleticism there.
Plum moves into full guard.

Gandhi postures up in Plum's guard and throws a big left but Plum blocks it.
Plum keeping moving, preventing Gandhi from controlling successfully.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mahatma Gandhi .
Plum throws a front kick aimed at Gandhi 's knee but Gandhi avoids it well.

Gandhi shoots in looking for a takedown. Plum tries to sprawl out of it but Gandhi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Plum manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Plum rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gandhi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Plum keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

Gandhi throws a strike but Plum rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Colt Plum has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
