PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jakub Wedrowycz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deuce Bigalow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bigalow has chosen Motorhead - The Game as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bigalow throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Wedrowycz tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Bigalow is in Wedrowycz's guard.
Bigalow is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Bigalow wants to pass the guard but Wedrowycz is keeping the position.

Bigalow closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bigalow lands in his opponent's guard.

Bigalow wants to get up but he can't break Wedrowycz's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Bigalow has Wedrowycz up against the cage in a clinch.
Wedrowycz drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bigalow gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Bigalow tightens his grip and picks Wedrowycz up, before dumping him to the ground. Wedrowycz manages to land in guard.
Wedrowycz controls Bigalow momentarily but Bigalow frees himself.
Bigalow is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Wedrowycz wants to hit a switch here but Bigalow passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Wedrowycz there!

Bigalow avoids the attempt from Wedrowycz to control.
Wedrowycz tries to reverse the position but Bigalow maintains control.
Wedrowycz sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Bigalow shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wedrowycz's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bigalow can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well Bigalow has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
