And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Aaron Rivers!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rivers gets caught flat footed, as Holmes shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Rivers wants to control but Holmes passes easily into half guard.

Holmes is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rivers sees it coming and defends easily.

Holmes is looking for a kimura here.
Rivers is pressing down on Holmes's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Holmes drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Holmes jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Rivers has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Holmes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Holmes drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rivers looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rivers looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rivers!
Holmes on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Holmes tries to get out of the position.
