Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Nixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gugo Ograni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ograni has chosen Ameno - Era as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gugo Ograni!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nixon avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nixon misses with a takedown attempt - Ograni sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
David Nixon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nixon changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ograni tries to avoid it but Nixon manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ograni to the ground. Ograni escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ograni pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Nixon back to the cage. Ograni follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Ograni lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nixon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Ograni has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nixon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to David Nixon.
