The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vallefort dives in and grabs Kolarich's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kolarich pushes down on Vallefort's head and hops out.
Kolarich throws a nice inside leg kick.
Kolarich tries to clinch but Vallefort moves out of range.

Kolarich shoots in and bounces Vallefort off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Kolarich postures up in Vallefort's guard and throws a big left but Vallefort blocks it.

Kolarich got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vallefort has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kolarich has managed to get both his arms back between Vallefort's legs - danger averted.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vallefort uses his free foot to push down on Kolarich's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kolarich.

Kolarich sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
