Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bjj Spar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keast Kann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bjj Spar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 1, fighting out of London, Keast Kann!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spar takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Kann keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Spar looks for the body kick but Kann saw that one coming.

Kann closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Spar to the mat! Spar manages to get full guard.

Kann avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kann is looking to work some ground and pound but Spar has wrist control.
Kann wants to pass the guard but Spar is keeping the position.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kann's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Spar is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kann defends well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kann with a flurry of punches that miss.
Kann keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Spar's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kann connects with a couple of short punches.

Spar working for a triangle but Kann defends it easily.

Spar looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kann passes into half guard.

Kann is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Spar has managed to free his arm - good work.
Spar gets full guard.
Spar has momentary wrist control but Kann slips an elbow through the middle.

Spar is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kann defends well.
Kann passes Spar's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Spar looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Spar manages to get to full guard.

Kann throwing strikes but missing.
Kann postures up in Spar's guard and throws a big left but Spar blocks it.
Spar trying to keep a closed guard but Kann is proving a slippery customer.
Kann postures up and lands a big shot to Spar's brow.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kann is looking to work some ground and pound but Spar has wrist control.

Kann got a little sloppy there for a moment and Spar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kann has managed to get both his arms back between Spar's legs - danger averted.

Kann drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kann jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Spar controls Kann momentarily but Kann frees himself.
Kann stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Spar swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Spar avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Spar is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kann is aware though and is defending well.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kann accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Spar has his foot on Kann's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kann works his way back into a safe position though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Spar seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Spar is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kann distracts Spar with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Keast Kann dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kann is on top in guard.
Kann loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Kann is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Kann tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kann has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Spar is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kann is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Spar has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Spar!

Kann bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Spar's guard.

Kann stands up over Spar, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Spar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kann can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Kann looks up at the clock and then as Spar takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kann smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Spar has hold of Kann's hands but Kann slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Keast Kann showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Spar throws a low kick, looking for Kann's leg but Kann calmly moves out of range.

Spar takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Kann throws a lazy right hand but Spar sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kann fails with the takedown.

and Kann counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Spar's guard now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Spar working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kann doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kann manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Kann goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Spar has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Kann but great work by Spar.
Kann has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Keast Kann comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kann has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
