Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigues pushes D Ace away with a front kick.
Rodrigues on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
D Ace throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rodrigues buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A head kick misses from D Ace.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
D Ace throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Rodrigues misses with a body kick.
Severino Rodrigues seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rodrigues bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Rodrigues scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. D Ace doesn't seem bothered though.
Rodrigues tries to land a front kick but D Ace steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Rodrigues throws a push kick but D Ace slaps the foot to one side.

D Ace on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

D Ace takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Rodrigues throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rodrigues lands a leg kick that knocks D Ace off balance momentarily.

Rodrigues connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Rodrigues throws a push kick but D Ace slaps the foot to one side.
Rodrigues thows a body kick. D Ace tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Rodrigues lands with a thumping leg kick.
Rodrigues lands a nice looking body kick.
A head kick misses from Rodrigues.
Rodrigues looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
D Ace takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
An inside leg kick lands from Rodrigues.
Rodrigues throws a leg kick which misses D Ace's front leg but catches the back leg as D Ace tries to avoid it.
D Ace walks forward, straight into a front kick from Rodrigues.
Rodrigues chopping away at his opponent's legs.
A slapping leg kick lands for Rodrigues.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rodrigues goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! D Ace crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rodrigues - the referee stops the clock and D Ace gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rodrigues. D Ace manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Rodrigues with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Rodrigues sizes up D Ace with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Nice body kick there by Rodrigues.
Rodrigues tries a head kick but it misses.
Rodrigues moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Rodrigues lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Rodrigues stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Rodrigues throws a wild body kick that D Ace sees coming a mile off.
Rodrigues throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Rodrigues throws a head kick that D Ace semi-blocks.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

A chopping leg kick lands by Rodrigues.
Rodrigues lands a brutal head kick. D Ace looks out on his feet and Rodrigues throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
