Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mathias Jansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willie Nuxhall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Nuxhall's choice of entrance music: The Final Countdown. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jansen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Nuxhall blocks a head kick by Jansen.
Nuxhall fails to land with a series of punches.
Nuxhall fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jansen sprawls well initially but Nuxhall persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Jansen looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Nuxhall really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jansen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jansen slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jansen has an active guard here but Nuxhall has managed to pass into half guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jansen tries to clinch but Nuxhall is having none of it.
Nuxhall closes the distance and clinches.
Nuxhall is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jansen pulls him back up using the underhooks.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Mathias Jansen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Willie Nuxhall.
Jansen tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Nuxhall smiles and moves away.

and Nuxhall counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Jansen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nuxhall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jansen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nuxhall doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nuxhall manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jansen has his foot on Nuxhall's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nuxhall works his way back into a safe position though.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Jansen works the jab nicely.
Jansen gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Nuxhall missing with knees to the body.
Nuxhall decides to pull guard.
Jansen wants to pass the guard but Nuxhall is keeping the position.
Mathias Jansen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Nuxhall is looking for a triangle but Jansen pushes his legs off easily.
Jansen is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Nuxhall is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Nuxhall has escaped and now he's on top!

Jansen has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Nuxhall defend it? Jansen steps over the head and cranks it - Nuxhall is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Jansen!
