Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Belic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Duquette (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duquette is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Angels Never Die. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Belic gets caught flat footed, as Duquette shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Duquette working some strikes from top position.
Duquette trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Belic looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Duquette is in close to Belic's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Belic controls Duquette momentarily but Duquette frees himself.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Belic lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Sloppy strikes from Duquette. Those never looked like landing.
Belic misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Belic closes the distance and pushes Duquette back into the cage.

Belic is fighting off a takedown attempt but Duquette is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Belic to the mat. Belic regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Belic has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Belic drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Duquette manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Belic has Duquette in his guard.
