Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Philips manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Mitchell on his heels. He'll look to pass Mitchell's guard now, I'm sure.
Mitchell working for submissions but it's allowed Philips to get to half guard.
Philips is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mitchell is just riding it out for now. Philips eventually gives up the hold.
Mitchell trying to control but Philips postures up.

Mitchell looking for submissions off his back.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Mitchell tries to get to full guard but Philips has control of the leg.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Mitchell wants to control but Philips is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Mitchell works his way to full guard. Good work.
Mitchell looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Philips passes into side control.
Philips tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Philips has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Mitchell is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Philips is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mitchell has escaped the position, nice work there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Mitchell.
Philips really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Philips is staying active underneath Mitchell, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Mitchell looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Mitchell lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Philips! More strikes land and this one is all over! Mitchell jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
