And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kattanach closes the distance and clinches.
Kattanach is pressed up against the cage. Sponseller has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kattanach down to the mat. Kattanach avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Kattanach throws a sloppy head kick and Sponseller moves out of range easily.

Kattanach has closed the distance and engaged Sponseller in a clinch.
Kattanach wants a takedown.
Sponseller connects with a nasty looking knee right to Kattanach's face.
Sponseller using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Kattanach has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Kattanach tries for a takedown but Sponseller sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Sponseller should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kattanach jumps guard.
Sponseller is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Sponseller really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kattanach. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
I looks like Sponseller might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

I would just about give that final round to Jay Sponseller.
I've got Sponseller winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
