Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between George Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yosi Sayas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bush comes to the cage accompanied by Blow me Away. Yosi Sayas looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, George Bush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Yosi Sayas!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bush scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Sayas looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Bush thows a huge punch but Sayas dodges it nicely.

Bush drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sayas dives on top into guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bush had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sayas is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bush Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sayas's back instead.

Bush working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Sayas wants to get back to his feet.

Bush is punishing Sayas with strikes - can he finish him?!

Sayas is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Bush gets his way!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bush is persistently looking for the submission but Sayas is defending it well.
Sayas tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Sayas fails with the takedown

and Bush counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Bush is looking for a kimura but Sayas is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bush to get the leverage.

Bush is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sayas is just riding it out for now. Bush eventually gives up the hold.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Bush is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Sayas reverses the position - he's now on top in Bush's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sayas manages to capitalize on a mistake by Bush to take his back!
Sayas doesn't have the hooks in and Bush manages to turn into his guard.
Sayas is trying to control the position but Bush postures up.
Bush stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sayas swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sayas wants to stand up but Bush is controlling him.
Sayas looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

George Bush dominated that second round.
That's time! Bush's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Bush tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sayas swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Bush shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Bush winds up and cracks Sayas with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Bush thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sayas's head.

Sayas looks like he's trying to stand up.

Sayas wants to control but Bush is keeping busy.
Bush moves into full mount! Sayas won't be happy about that!

Bush swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Sayas is now in Bush's guard. A big mistake from Bush there, giving up the dominant position!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Bush wants to stand up but Sayas is controlling him.
Bush manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Sayas is bucking up trying to escape but Bush cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Sayas slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
George Bush overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

George Bush showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Bush has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
