Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Charles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Binzo Binzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charles's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Muddy Waters- Hoochie Coochie Man. The crowd seem to be enjoying Binzo's choice of entrance music: Hair of the Dog by Nazareth. Binzo Binzo has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ray Charles's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ray Charles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Binzo Binzo!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charles tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Binzo swivels and escapes.
Nice defenses there by Binzo.
Charles loads up on a big right hand but Binzo slips the punch.
A jab lands there for Binzo.
Binzo connects with an inside leg kick.
Charles jabs Binzo to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Charles slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Charles dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Binzo Binzo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Binzo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Charles sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Binzo scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Charles thuds his right hand into Binzo's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Binzo looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Charles keeping moving, preventing Binzo from controlling successfully.
Charles wants to stand but Binzo is controlling the position.

Charles managing to control the position.
Binzo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Charles swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Charles manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Binzo manages to get himself to full guard.

Binzo looking for subs off his back but Charles has passed one foot through into half guard.
Charles is keen to just control but Binzo is a slippery customer.
Binzo slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Binzo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Charles doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Charles manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Charles is looking to work some ground and pound but Binzo has wrist control.
Charles not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Charles's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Binzo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Binzo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Charles defends it easily.
Charles wants to pass the guard but Binzo is keeping the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Binzo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Charles defends well.
Charles keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Binzo's head.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Binzo is on top in guard.
Binzo with a flurry of punches that miss.
Binzo wants to control from the top but Charles keeps moving.
Binzo throws an elbow that misses. Charles uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Binzo's guard. Nice move by Charles!

Binzo has his foot on Charles's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Charles works his way back into a safe position though.
Binzo is trying to keep Charles in close.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Charles showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Charles trying to control but Binzo is working from the bottom.
Charles tries to free his leg and advance position but Binzo is retaining full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Binzo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Charles is one step ahead there.
Binzo keeping full guard, as Charles tries to pass.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Charles postures up in Binzo's guard and throws a big left but Binzo blocks it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Charles postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ray Charles will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Binzo changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Charles jabs Binzo right on the nose. Binzo blinks but takes it well.

Binzo scores a takedown into full mount!
Binzo controlling his opponent.
Charles is in all sorts of trouble here.
Charles tries to hold on but Binzo postures up.
Binzo looking to finish Charles with some ground and pound. This is bad for Charles!
Binzo landing strikes from the mount and Charles is in trouble!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Charles is trying to escape the mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Charles is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Charles takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Charles can't escape the position.
Binzo scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Charles?
Binzo controlling the position easily from mount.

Binzo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Charles is looking to escape.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Charles tries to lock up and control but Binzo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee warns Charles that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Binzo breaks from Charles's wrist control and lands an elbow.


Charles is rocked!


It looks like Ray Charles has been cut.
Binzo postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Charles bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Binzo and the fight is over!
