Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yannis Kyriakidis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Kyriakidis has hold of one of Simpson's legs. Simpson is fighting the takedown attempt but Kyriakidis gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Simpson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kyriakidis's hands.

Kyriakidis on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Kyriakidis feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Yannis Kyriakidis.
I think Kyriakidis has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
