The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doran tries to clinch
and Doran takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Fuma looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Doran drives through and clinches with Fuma against the cage.

Doran gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Doran forces his way into half guard.

Doran stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Fuma to get to his feet.
Doran looks for a takedown but Fuma sprawls well.

Doran clinches up with Fuma and pushes him back against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Doran jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Fuma walks away with a smile on his face. Doran gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Doran can't find room to land a body shot as Fuma controls the action.
Fuma goes for a takedown in the clinch but Doran prevents it.

Doran breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Doran throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fuma's waist but Fuma gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Doran off to one side.

and Fuma counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Doran has momentary wrist control but Fuma slips an elbow through the middle.

Doran is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Fuma to keep the fight standing.
