MacKallister comes to the cage accompanied by Four Horsemen by Metallica. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. With a record of 10 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bija Firserfest!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacKallister shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Firserfest sprawls well. Firserfest wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. MacKallister gets slowly back to his feet.

MacKallister tries to score a power double leg takedown but Firserfest sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten MacKallister somewhat.

Firserfest connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

MacKallister shoots for a double leg takedown but Firserfest sprawls well. He's pushed MacKallister's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Firserfest changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Firserfest uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Firserfest bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of MacKallister's head.
MacKallister changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Firserfest tries to avoid it but MacKallister manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Firserfest to the ground. Firserfest escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Firserfest misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nice takedown defense from Firserfest. No joy for MacKallister on that attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
MacKallister won't allow Firserfest to sweep him here.
Firserfest manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. MacKallister manages to get himself to full guard.

MacKallister is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Firserfest defends well.
Firserfest is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Firserfest would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Firserfest wants to pass the guard but MacKallister is keeping the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

MacKallister looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Firserfest moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
