Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Bauer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sakke Pietila (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bauer's entrance music is I Stand Alone by Godsmack. A fine choice. Pietila has chosen Hard Night Out by Professor Green as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
23 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Bauer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sakke Pietila!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bauer misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pietila.
Bauer connects with a single shot there.
Bauer takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Pietila tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Bauer counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Sakke Pietila has been cut.
Bauer connects with a crisp jab.
Pietila connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bauer moves out of range of the strikes.
Pietila tries to bum rush Bauer with a series of wild strikes but Bauer uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pietila throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pietila looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Pietila tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bauer manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bauer lands with a right hand.
Bauer pushes Pietila up against the cage in a clinch.
Bauer tries to pull guard but Pietila holds him up against the cage and eventually Bauer drops back down to his feet.
Pietila lands a left hand that snaps the head of Bauer backwards.
It looks like Jack Bauer has been cut.
Pietila letting Bauer take a breather here.
Bauer jumps into guard, dragging Pietila to the mat.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Pietila controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Bauer controls Pietila momentarily but Pietila frees himself.
Bauer has a closed guard, preventing Pietila from standing up.
Pietila got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bauer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pietila has managed to get both his arms back between Bauer's legs - danger averted.
Bauer is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Pietila is trying to get back to full guard.
Bauer wants to pass to mount but Pietila is defending the position.
Pietila tries to kick Bauer off but Bauer keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bauer is working for a kimura but Pietila is defending it quite comfortably.
Pietila is looking to control Bauer's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pietila avoid being mounted?

Pietila is holding on to half guard well.
Pietila wants to get back to full guard.
Pietila preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Pietila works his way to full guard. Good work.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bauer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bauer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Bauer throws an elbow that misses. Pietila uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bauer's guard. Nice move by Pietila!
Pietila trying to control but Bauer is working from the bottom.
Pietila avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bauer isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Pietila stacks Bauer on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Pietila!
Pietila postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's four minutes gone in the round.

Pietila stands up and beckons Bauer to his feet.
Pietila throws a front kick aimed at Bauer's knee but Bauer avoids it well.
Bauer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

letting Pietila counter with a right hand.
Bauer keeps the fight on the outside.
Bauer takes one to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bauer connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
A jab lands there for Bauer.
Bauer misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pietila.
Bauer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Pietila is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bauer connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Pietila to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Bauer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jack Bauer!
