Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maksim Ivanski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Liquid Snake!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snake fails to land the takedown.

Nice straight punches there by Ivanski. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ivanski.
Snake uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ivanski.
The crowd cheers as Snake lands an impressive looking overhand right. Ivanski doesn't seem phased though.
Snake takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Liquid Snake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ivanski throws a series of punches but Snake moves out of range.

Snake misses with a hook. Ivanski ducked under it nicely.

Snake looking to score a takedown here. Ivanski is defending well but Snake drives through and ends up in Ivanski's guard.

Snake postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Ivanski bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Snake's guard.

Ivanski drops back looking for a leg! Snake is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Snake manages to kick Ivanski off! Ivanski jumps back into Snake's guard.

Snake working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Ivanski has passed into half guard!

Ivanski drops an elbow to the side of Snake's head.

Snake is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ivanski pulls his head out easily.
Snake is trying to control but can't.
Snake has hold of Ivanski's hands but Ivanski slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Snake actively working from the bottom here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ivanski throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Ivanski drops an elbow to the side of Snake's head.
Ivanski wants to free his trapped foot but Snake is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Snake is trying to get back to full guard.
Ivanski not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Ivanski seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ivanski is looking for a kimura but Snake is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ivanski to get the leverage.

Ivanski stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Snake to get to his feet.

Snake looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ivanski is fending him off so far but Snake persists. Nope, Ivanski circles away and we're back to standing.
Maksim Ivanski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Liquid Snake.
Ivanski tries to bum rush Snake with a series of wild strikes but Snake uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Snake takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Ivanski fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Ivanski stuffs the takedown.
Snake looks winded!

Ivanski takes a swing at Snake's ribcage but misses.
Ivanski tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Snake was well out of range. Poor timing from Ivanski.
Ivanski uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Ivanski lands a slapping body shot.
Ivanski misses with a wild body shot.
Ivanski bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Ivanski stuffs the takedown.
Ivanski will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Snake on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ivanski. Ivanski obviously looking to wear him down.
A looping hook to the body misses from Snake. Ivanski does a little dance to reset his feet.
Snake throws an overhand right that lands on Ivanski's shoulder, as Ivanski tries to avoid the shot.
Ivanski scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Snake tests Ivanski's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Ivanski paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Snake lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Snake slips a jab from Ivanski.
Ivanski clobbers Snake with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Snake looks to score with a jab to the body but Ivanski is just out of range.

Snake misses with a hook. Ivanski ducked under it nicely.
Ivanski stalks Snake and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Snake's face. Snake staggers backwards, shaken.


Snake is rocked!
Ivanski throws out a powerful jab.
Snake is still on wobbly legs! Can Ivanski finish him?
Ivanski scores with a jab. Snake acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Ivanski throws a body punch but Snake moves out of range.
Ivanski cracks Snake's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Snake slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Ivanski can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Maksim Ivanski!
