Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Danon Detrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and mike doucklas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Detrow throws a head kick but doucklas moves out of range.
Detrow wants to clinch up but doucklas keeps it at a distance.

doucklas is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Detrow misses with a hook. doucklas ducked under it nicely.
doucklas swats away the attempt to clinch by Detrow.

Danon Detrow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Detrow tries a head kick but it misses.

Detrow shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Detrow showed some decent athleticism there.
Detrow stalling away here and it's allowed doucklas to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Detrow wants to stand but doucklas has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
doucklas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as doucklas holds on and takes a little breather.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
