PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pure Bayolens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darius Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Anarchy in the UK - Sex Pistols as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bayolens stuffs the takedown attempt from Smith. Smith gets slowly back to his feet.
Smith dodges the punch combination from Bayolens.
Smith slips under a jab from Bayolens.
Bayolens takes a swing at Smith's ribcage but misses.

Smith throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bayolens tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Smith is in Bayolens's guard.
Bayolens wants to stand and escape but Smith is having none of it.
Bayolens looking to hit a scissor sweep but Smith is one step ahead there.
Smith prevents Bayolens from getting back to his feet.
Smith working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bayolens looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Smith is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Bayolens is looking for a triangle but Smith pushes his legs off easily.
Smith wants to pass the guard but Bayolens is keeping the position.
Smith with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Smith makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Smith drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bayolens manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Smith has Bayolens in his guard.

Smith pushes a forearm under Bayolens's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Bayolens is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Darius Smith really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Untouchable Fight Gear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
