The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Right connects with a solid leg kick.
Right wants to clinch.

Kessler scores a takedown into full mount!
Kessler controlling the pace for now.
Let's hope that Kessler has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Right tries to hold on but Kessler postures up.
Right on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Right tries to get out of the position.
Right is trying to stand up.
Right tries to control the position but Kessler now has his back.

Right is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Right trying to control but not successfully.
Kessler has good solid back control here.
Kessler is not going to allow Right to sit and survive in this position.
What can Right do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kessler is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Right manages to escape to his feet.

Right tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kessler swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Right bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Kessler looks gassed!
Right tries to bum rush Kessler with a series of wild strikes but Kessler uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Sal Right has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Kessler.
Right lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Right throws a head kick that Kessler semi-blocks.

Right connects with a nice cross there... Kessler is looking wobbly and Right recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Kessler to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Right jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
