Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Severino Rodrigues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcelo Fernan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcelo Fernan is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marcelo Fernan!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigues misses with a hook.
Fernan tries a head kick but it misses.
Fernan misses with a body shot.
Fernan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
It looks like Severino Rodrigues has been cut.
Fernan throws the kick towards the body but Rodrigues avoids it.
Fernan takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Rodrigues walks forward, straight into a front kick from Fernan.
Fernan misses with a head kick.
Rodrigues throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Fernan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Fernan tries a head kick but it misses.
Rodrigues throws a head kick but Fernan moves out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rodrigues throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Rodrigues throws out a leg kick but Fernan moves out of range and Rodrigues only half commits.
Fernan attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Rodrigues throws a jab but it's blocked by Fernan.

Fernan scores with a hook to the body. Rodrigues takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Fernan takes a swing at Rodrigues's ribcage but misses.
Fernan moves out of range as Rodrigues throws a body kick.
Fernan walks into a jab.

Fernan throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Fernan buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Fernan has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Rodrigues.
Fernan steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Rodrigues. That one must have hurt.
Fernan misses with a hook.
Fernan misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rodrigues avoids the head kick by Fernan.
Fernan looks gassed!
Fernan takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Rodrigues tries a head kick but it misses.
Fernan just misses with a punch to the body.
Fernan throws a sloppy head kick and Rodrigues moves out of range easily.
Rodrigues throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fernan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rodrigues manages to avoid it.
Rodrigues misses with a body kick.
Both fighters circling a little - Rodrigues finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Rodrigues lands a big head kick that sends Fernan tumbling to the mat! Rodrigues takes a step backwards and waves Fernan back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Marcelo Fernan has been cut.
Rodrigues lands with a thumping leg kick.

Rodrigues lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Fernan head around and knocks him out cold! Rodrigues hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Severino Rodrigues!
During a confident post fight interview, Severino Rodrigues thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
