Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ramstein Rommel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Riordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ramstein Rommel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Tommy Riordan!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riordan gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Rommel.
No luck for Riordan with that takedown attempt.
Rommel stuns Riordan with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Nice sprawl there from Rommel as Riordan shoots in.
Rommel fails with a takedown attempt.
Rommel will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Riordan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rommel tries to avoid it but Riordan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rommel to the ground. Rommel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ramstein Rommel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy Riordan.
Rommel closes this distance looking for a takedown but Riordan circles away.
Rommel lands a nice shot that snaps Riordan's head back.

Rommel gets a clinch.

Rommel manages to break the clinch.
Riordan shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Riordan tries for a takedown but Rommel circles away easily
and Rommel connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Riordan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rommel swivels and escapes.

Rommel pushes Riordan up against the cage in a clinch.
Riordan tries to pull guard but Rommel won't allow it.
Riordan looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Rommel escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rommel misses with a double jab.
Rommel misses with a body kick.
Tommy Riordan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rommel closes the distance and clinches.

Rommel breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Riordan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Riordan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rommel looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Riordan landing strikes.
Rommel manages to work his way to half guard, despite Riordan's best efforts.
Riordan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rommel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rommel is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Riordan pulls his head out easily.
Rommel tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Rommel is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Riordan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Riordan's back!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rommel punches Riordan on the ear.
Riordan is covering up but some of the strikes from Rommel are getting through and doing damage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Rommel is working the back position looking for the choke. Oh, he's slid into an armbar! Beautiful transition and Riordan taps out! Fantastic Jiu Jitsu from Rommel.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ramstein Rommel!
A relieved looking Ramstein Rommel thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
